I kindly invite you to submit an abstract to the following AGU21 session:

H103 Tackling hydro-climatic risk to African water security with early-warning and decision-support systems

Conveners: Daniela Anghileri, Charlene Olayemi Ursula GABA, Luke Olang, Mekonnen Gebremichael

We welcome contributions presenting new methodological approaches, models, uncertainty assessment, and real-world applications across temporal and spatial scales in Africa focusing on:

• monitoring and forecasting of hydro-climatic risk and climate change and their impacts on water security;
• assessment of risk management strategies including early warning systems, water planning and management (reservoir, irrigation, etc.);
• water security policies and international treaties.
